Aliah Faulkner is a proud retired makeup artist and seasoned licensed senior cosmetologist with years of experience in the beauty industry. As the owner of two thriving beauty businesses — TrueCombo Salon & Beauty Bar and TrueCombo & Co. Beauty Suites — Aliah has built a reputation for excellence, innovation, and dedication to both her craft and her team.
She credits God for guiding her every step and for making it all possible, trusting that her journey is part of a greater purpose; as well as her husband Monzy for pushing her into her purpose and never allowing her to leave the dream dormant.
In addition to overseeing her salons, she has expanded her expertise into the hair industry with the creation of her own hair company, Mari’Elle Extensions, providing luxury hair products to clients seeking flawless, natural-looking extensions. Mari’Elle offers a wide range of textures and lengths to suit every individual’s needs.
As a mentor and leader, Aliah’s work goes beyond just providing top-tier beauty services. She leads a team of talented professionals, including apprentices and licensed cosmetologists, in a collaborative, educational environment where they uphold the highest standards of service and artistry.
Aliah is also the founder of Mothers and Daughters, Corp., a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting women and girls. Through this initiative, she works to provide resources and support for mothers and daughters to strengthen their relationships, foster personal growth, and create positive impacts in their communities.
Aliah is also a proud graduate of Leadership Anne Arundel, Class of 2023, an experience that further enhanced her leadership skills and commitment to service.
